Mario Matt

After his sensational victory in 2000, when he managed to take first place with bib number 47, three second places and one third place, Mario Matt finished second in today's Slalom, celebrating the sixth podium finish in Kitzbühel. The athlete from Arlberg was able to improve his performance during the current World Cup Season, race after race. With two fourth places, that he took in Adelboden and Wengen just recently, he has proved to be in top form.

„I love to come to Kitzbühel and I was able to celebrate many successes here. I am highly satisfied with my first run, in the second run, however, I didn‘ take enough risk, which is why I lagged behind. Anyway, I am very content with the result“, said Mario Matt during the press conference shortly after the race.
